SanLucar limes, in the peel

SanLucar limes with their appealing green peel impress with a sour-juicy citrus aroma. SanLucar limes are seedless and have an edible peel, making them particularly suitable for drinks.

Cultivation/Origin:

SanLucar limes come from the southwest of Vietnam. There, they thrive in a tropical climate in the Mekong Delta.

Harvest:

It takes a lot of skill to determine the perfect harvest time for the fruits. That's why master grower Manh only works with trained pickers who can distinguish a ripe green lime from an unripe green lime. Thus, only the best fruits, untreated and unwaxed, reach you.

Storage:

Limes last about a week at room temperature, and a little longer in the refrigerator at approx. 8 degrees. Do not store them for too long, as they may lose their aroma.

Tips & Special Features:

High yield: A lime tree can produce up to 1000 fruits per year. With green peel, they have the highest acidity. Those who prefer it a little less sour should choose fruits with a less green peel.

History:

Limes originally come from Malaysia. Crusaders and travelers brought the fruits to Europe in the Middle Ages.

Packaging:

The  limes  are offered in a cardboard tray with freshness protection to ensure better hygiene and longer shelf life.
