Artelac Splash EDO

Eye moisturizer, also for wetting and rewetting soft and hard contact lenses while wearing with 0.24% sodium hyaluronate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate and water for injections.

What is Artelac Splash MDO?
Artelac Splash MDO is a clear eye drop solution that contains 0.24% hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate). The formulation is free of preservatives and therefore very well tolerated. The product can be used for 6 months after first opening.

What is Artelac Splash MDO used for?
Artelac Splash MDO is our first choice for immediate relief and moisture for dry eyes. It refreshes and soothes dry eyes naturally and relieves symptoms of tired, stressed and even watery eyes. Artelac Splash MDO is suitable for wetting and rewetting soft and hard contact lenses while wearing and thus noticeably increases the wearing comfort of the lenses throughout the day.

When should Artelac Splash MDO be used?
Artelac Splash MDO contains the natural moisturizer hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate), which is found in the structures of a healthy human eye and in the natural tear film. Artelac Splash MDO remains on the surface of the eye and thus provides immediate moisture for symptoms of dry eye. The product is suitable for anyone suffering from mild to moderate symptoms of dry eye, such as tired, stressed, burning and/or watery eyes.

How often and for how long should Artelac Splash MDO be used?
Put one drop of Artelac Splash MDO in your eye as needed. You can use the drops daily and as often as you like. The duration of use is not limited.

How to use Artelac Splash MDO?
Thanks to the pump mechanism of Artelac Splash MDO, the eye drop solution is free of preservatives.

General note

Always wash your hands first before use. Do not touch the eye surface or your fingers with the tip of the bottle to avoid contamination of the solution or injury.

1. Remove the transparent, white protective cap from the tip of the bottle with a twisting motion before each use.
2. Attention! Before first use or after prolonged non-use: Hold the bottle upside down and repeatedly actuate the pump mechanism until a drop is dispensed.
3. Place your thumb on the ergonomically shaped thumb rest and wrap your fingers around the lower part. Two fingers should be placed on the bottom of the bottle.
4. Hold the bottle upside down. Tilt your head back slightly. Gently pull your lower eyelid down with a finger of your free hand. Hold the bottle vertically over your eye. Gently squeeze the pump mechanism to instill one drop into the eye. Then close your eye and blink to distribute the drop as well as possible over the surface of the eye.
5. Shake off any remaining drops immediately after use and replace the transparent, white protective cap on the tip of the bottle.

Due to the bottle design, a small amount of solution remains in the bottle. However, the specified filling volume can be completely removed from the bottle.

When should Artelac Splash MDO not be used?
Do not use the product if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Important information on the use of Artelac Splash MDO:

• Local hypersensitivity reactions have been reported very rarely. In these cases, the application should be discontinued. If symptoms or irritation persist, please discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
• Safety information for patients with severe corneal damage: In very rare cases, deposits of calcium phosphate on the cornea have been reported during the use of phosphate-containing eye preparations.
• Do not touch the eye surface with the tip of the bottle to avoid possible injury to the eye surface.
• Do not share the bottle with anyone else after you have opened it.
• If the product is used carelessly contrary to the instructions for use, it may slip out of your hand and cause eye injuries.
• Wait about 15 minutes before using another product on the eye.
• Dispose of the product 6 months after first opening.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
• Do not use if the packaging or bottle is damaged.
• Artelac Splash MDO is filled into a bottle with small plastic parts that could be swallowed by small children. Choking hazard. Therefore, Artelac Splash MDO must be kept out of reach of children.

How should Artelac Splash MDO be stored?
Store the product at 1°C to 25°C. Thanks to the bottle design, Artelac Splash MDO can be used for 6 months after first opening.

Package sizes

Artelac Splash MDO is available in pack sizes of 10 ml, 2 x 10 ml and 2 x 15 ml eye drops. Artelac Splash is also available in practical, preservative-free single-dose ophtioles (EDO).
