Calendula Wound Ointment is an anthroposophic medicine for wounds and superficial inflammations. Areas of application: According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, the areas of application include the treatment of wounds and superficial inflammations, even in the case of delayed wound healing and a tendency to suppuration.
2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE USING CALENDULA WOUND OINTMENT?
Calendula Wound Ointment must not be used:
- on open wounds.
- if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to Calendula officinalis (marigold) or other composites, sesame oil or to ingredients of the ointment base.
Precautions for use
In case of fever, pus formation, progressive redness or swelling and persistent, unclear or new symptoms, a doctor should be consulted. Calendula Wound Ointment contains substances which, if used for a long period of time, very often cause allergies in patients with poorly healing wounds or ulcers. If you use Calendula Wound Ointment on long-standing wounds (e.g. weeping rashes), please pay particular attention to the occurrence of itching, redness and swelling of the surrounding skin. If you notice such signs, please stop using Calendula Wound Ointment and consult your doctor.Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Lanolin and lanolin alcohols can cause localised skin reactions (contact dermatitis). Butylhydroxytoluene (contained in lanolin alcohols) can cause localised skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.3. HOW TO USE CALENDULA WOUND OINTMENT?
Always use Calendula Wound Ointment exactly as described in this package leaflet. Calendula Wound Ointment is applied to the skin and to wound surfaces. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is: Apply Calendula Wound Ointment to the affected areas several times a day.
Duration of use
The treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 1 week. If there is no improvement within 2 days, please consult a doctor. The duration of treatment for chronic diseases requires consultation with a doctor.If you forget to use Calendula Wound Ointment
Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten application.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure how to use this medicine.
4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?
Like all medicines, Calendula Wound Ointment can have side effects, although not everybody gets them. In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Sesame oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.

Do not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the tube and the folding box. The ointment can be stored for 6 months after opening. Storage conditions: Do not store above 30°C.
