The gently protective ingredients lactic acid and sage support the natural acid mantle of the skin in the intimate area and can thus help to prevent infections and irritations with daily use. How to use SAGELLA
SAGELLA pH 3.5 is well suited for daily intimate care and can be used several times a day thanks to its mild ingredients. Use the washing lotion like a shower gel in the shower, bathtub or bidet for daily intimate care. SAGELLA pH 3.5 is intended for the external intimate area and is not suitable as a rinse.

What is the pH value and why is a special pH value important for intimate care?
The pH value is a parameter for indicating an acidity level. Values that are less than 7.0 are referred to as acidic, while values above 7.0 are considered basic. Water, for example, has a neutral pH value of 7.0. The acid mantle of our skin, which serves to protect against pathogens, is constantly slightly acidic with a pH value of 5.5. However, the skin of the female intimate area is an exception: Here, the pH value fluctuates between 3.5 and 7.0 in the different phases of life, adolescence, pregnancy and menopause.
