In search of their own spirit - and the matching focus drinks - René Machon and Thorsten Husmann reached their taste limits: Why are there only a handful of good fillers? And why is none of the countless sodas suitable as a filler? Their conclusion: Most sodas are too flat, too sweet, too one-dimensional. Far too little fizz. Time to change that! June 7, 2017 - Soda Libre was born out of a whim. Experience meets passion, meets curiosity, meets a lot of thirst. So the Hamburg spirits experts embarked on a journey to find new flavors, fruits, spices, and ingredients. The maximum carbonation experience, the perfect sweet and sour play, the just right water. This is how their maxim came about: "Our sodas must take people on a taste journey. Regardless of whether with or without alcohol."  

The direction was clear: Soda Libre sodas must taste pure as soda and as a filler! That means: intense aroma, sparkling and refreshing, not too sweet, not too sour. Balanced, yet characteristic.
