Classic mild filter coffee with walnut aroma

The Fazenda Serrinha continues the series of rather classic filter coffees from Brazil. Brazil also produces very nuanced coffees that are perfect as mild filter coffees. The Fazenda Serrinha also fulfils this promise, with a mild, nutty base note and a beautiful sweetness that is reminiscent of raisins. 

With this coffee, everything from harvesting to processing and preparation for transport takes place on the farm. After harvesting and re-sorting, the entire cherries are dried on the patio for 18 days. The cherries are rotated and mixed a total of 6 times each day to ensure even drying. The result of a well-prepared natural can be found in the cup!

The young coffee roastery from Frankfurt am Main impresses, in addition to aromatic coffee creations, with three cafés in Frankfurt. The coffee is roasted on the in-house Giesen W30A roaster, built in 2019, on the other side of the Main, in Sachsenhausen.

The declared goal when roasting is to bring out the best possible taste terroir of the highest quality green coffees from all over the world. A good coffee begins long before it lands in the Hoppenworth & Ploch roastery, because the taste and quality are sustainably influenced at the origin, during the cultivation and harvesting of the coffee beans. They thus continue the dedicated work that has already been done and bring the aromas of various coffee varieties to the cup.

When purchasing, they therefore rely exclusively on established green coffee traders with direct contact to the coffee farmers who offer the qualities they are looking for. They also do not buy anonymous green coffees, where insight into local events is impossible.
