Chicken carcass
The chicken carcass is left over after a chicken has been cut up. So it is only the bone structure with skin and a few pieces of meat. The carcass is actually excellent for cooking a proper chicken broth.
So you don't always have to buy a whole chicken for a warming chicken soup.
The chickens grow up on farms in family farming. This way we can ensure short transport routes.
For the animals this means less stress and short transport times, which in turn has a more positive CO2 balance.
The legislator specifies a maximum transport time of eight hours. By building up long-standing agricultural structures, we deviate positively from this.
All animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner in floor housing with daylight.
Furthermore, the stocking densities are below the legal standards.
Together with the farmers, we try to raise the animals completely without antibiotic treatment.
Some farms have been antibiotic-free for years.
The feed for our chickens consists of GMO-free complete feed and an additional 30 %
Wheat, which is grown by our farmers themselves and therefore regionally.
