Licor 43 is a herbal liqueur, which was first produced in 1924 by the distillery Diego Zamora S.A. in Cartagena and is supposedly based on a recipe that is over 2000 years old. The recipe is kept strictly secret, the ingredients are herbs and spices, of which vanilla is the most recognizable. In the glass, Licor 43 presents a radiant golden yellow, its aroma is complex and slightly sweet. On the tongue, it unfolds pleasantly with a distinct vanilla note. Licor 43 can be drunk pure with its 31% alcohol content, tempered or chilled on little ice, depending on taste. However, it is particularly suitable as an ingredient for long drinks and cocktails, mixed with passion fruit juice and even milk.
