Buckwheat – botanically belonging to the family of knotweed plants – is particularly popular in Russian cuisine. There, it is finely ground to prepare blini and pancakes.

The whole grain, when cooked, results in a nutty-aromatic side dish that also goes well in salads, soups and casseroles. The Alnatura buckwheat comes from organic farming.

The packaging must also meet strict requirements. The aim is to find the most sustainable packaging that optimally protects the product at the same time. In addition, social and ecological justice play an important role: The company assumes responsibility for the environment and for all people who are involved in the creation of an Alnatura product and were certified as one of the first companies according to the We-Care standard.
