Label Rouge:
Label Rouge poultry has been raised outdoors in a farming environment since 1960. The animals are raised according to strict guidelines that focus on animal welfare and environmentally friendly practices.
The poultry breeds with the Label Rouge quality seal are selected for their slow growth and excellent meat quality. The animals live in small groups for at least 81 days, which is more than twice as long as a conventional chicken, either in fenced-in runs or free-range areas that provide plenty of shade. The chickens are fed a 100% plant-based diet.
The meat differs from a conventional chicken in that it has a slightly darker colour and a firmer bite, but also a more intense flavour. Anyone who has tried it will certainly never want to eat a "standard chicken" again.
