MERLOT - IGP PAYS D’OC
Grape varieties: 100% Merlot, which results in very characteristic wines and an aromatic power. Originally from the vineyards of Bordeaux, it has adapted very well to the terroirs of the South of France (more than 68,000 ha)
Geographical location: The Vin de Pays d’Oc vineyard is omnipresent in Languedoc. It stretches from the south of the Côtes du Rhône to Carcassonne.
Winemaking: The grapes are harvested at perfect ripeness, destemmed, crushed and left to ferment for about 6 to 12 days. The fermentation temperature is regulated not to exceed 32°C and then pressed slowly. Finally, it is racked, filtered and bottled.
Soil: The largest vineyard in the world is based on a variety of terroirs: gravel, schist, clay-limestone.
Country of origin: FRANCE
Colour: Clear, very intense, garnet red to purple.
Nose: Red fruits, blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry jam.
Palate: Wine with velvety tannins and good length in the mouth.
Recommendations: Ideal accompaniment for your light meat, poultry, grills and all cheeses.
