Mowi Onigiri Wakame
Onigiri are traditional Japanese rice balls that are often filled with various ingredients and wrapped with nori (dried seaweed). Wakame is an edible seaweed that is commonly used in Japanese cuisine and makes a great filling or seasoning for onigiri.
To make onigiri with wakame, sticky short or medium-grain rice is typically used. The rice is cooked and then mixed with soaked and finely chopped wakame. Optionally, other ingredients such as sesame seeds or salt can be added to enhance the flavor. The rice is then formed into balls or triangles and wrapped with a strip of nori.
This dish is not only tasty but also healthy, as wakame is rich in vitamins and minerals. Onigiri with wakame are also convenient to eat on the go and make a great snack or part of a bento box.
