Preparation method
Cut the tomatoes into 12 slices. Cut the pickled onions into fine rings. Slice the Kaiser rolls horizontally and toast the cut sides in a dry pan over medium heat until golden brown.
Fry the bacon strips in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Season with a little pepper and paprika powder. Once golden brown on both sides, set aside on a plate.
Form 4 patties from the ground beef, the size of the buns, and season both sides with salt and pepper. Fry the patties in the pan with the remaining bacon fat for about 3 minutes over medium heat. Then flip, add a teaspoon of butter to each patty, and fry for another 2 minutes.
Chef's tip
For a particularly intense aroma, you can glaze the patties with a little BBQ sauce shortly before the end of the cooking time.
