    Add the chopped basil, pressed garlic, and a pinch of salt to the softened butter. Mix everything thoroughly until a uniform mass is formed.

    Transfer the basil butter into a container and let it firm up in the refrigerator. Before serving, let it stand at room temperature briefly so it becomes spreadable.
Tip
The basil butter tastes best with freshly toasted baguette or as a topping on grilled steak.
