Preparation method

In a glass or a mortar, muddle the orange slice together with the sugar to release the aromas.

Fill the glass about three-quarters full with ice cubes. Add the Bourbon Whiskey and sparkling water.

Stir carefully and garnish with an additional strip of orange peel if desired. Serve and enjoy!

For an even more authentic touch, you can replace the sugar and orange with a few dashes of Angostura Bitters.
