Strawberry Limes

Put the water and sugar into a pot and bring to a boil, stirring. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved, then let cool. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and halve them.

Purée the strawberries and stir in the lemon juice.

Add the sugar water to the puréed strawberries and stir. Finally, add the vodka and stir again. Using a funnel, pour the strawberry limes into clean bottles. It's best to rinse the bottles beforehand with boiling water. Chill the limes until serving.
