Ingredients

  • 400 g chicken upper thigh fillet
  • 1 egg
  • 150 g unsweetened cornflakes
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 tbsp neutral vegetable oil

Preparation

  • 1
Remove tendons and fat from the chicken meat and cut into pieces of about 3x3 cm. Lightly salt the meat. Beat the egg in a deep bowl and whisk with a fork, adding a pinch of salt.
  • 2
Place the cornflakes in a bowl and roughly crumble them with your hands. It's fine if some pieces remain a bit larger. Dip the chicken pieces one by one first in the egg, then roll them in the cornflake crumbs, pressing the breading lightly.

Place the strips in the air fryer basket, drizzle (or spray) with a little oil, and cook at 200 °C for about 10 minutes. Turn them once halfway through to ensure they become evenly crispy.
  • 4
Garnish and serve the finished strips with spring onions cut into rings. A dip of your choice or homemade ketchup goes perfectly with this.
