Ingredients
- 400 g chicken upper thigh fillet
- 1 egg
- 150 g unsweetened cornflakes
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 bunch of spring onions
- 1 tbsp neutral vegetable oil
Preparation
- 1Remove tendons and fat from the chicken meat and cut into pieces of about 3x3 cm. Lightly salt the meat. Beat the egg in a deep bowl and whisk with a fork, adding a pinch of salt.
- 2Place the cornflakes in a bowl and roughly crumble them with your hands. It's fine if some pieces remain a bit larger. Dip the chicken pieces one by one first in the egg, then roll them in the cornflake crumbs, pressing the breading lightly.
- 3Place the strips in the air fryer basket, drizzle (or spray) with a little oil, and cook at 200 °C for about 10 minutes. Turn them once halfway through to ensure they become evenly crispy.
- 4Garnish and serve the finished strips with spring onions cut into rings. A dip of your choice or homemade ketchup goes perfectly with this.
